Water- & Air Tightness


To ensure highest quality as well as water and air tightness TIZIP® zippers are at least random tested before shipment based on the following testing device and procedure.


  • Adjusting of TIZIP┬« zipper between water- & air pressure chamber (width: 30 mm; length: 240 mm)
  • Filling of upper chamber with distilled water (height of water level above zipper: 15 mm)
  • Applying of air pressure ╬öP (air) based on the specific guaranteed zipper type performance (e.g. MS10, both end closed: 500 mbar)
  • Duration of pressure applying period: 15 seconds
