High-frequency Welding
The incorporation of our zippers is best accomplished using high-frequency welding. Doing so creates a material bond that often proves to be more durable than other bonds (e.g. sewn or taped seams).
Weld quality is dependent on material compatibility, condition of welding equipment and set welding parameters. Extra zipper tape can be provided upon request, to develop welding parameters that meet product specifications and aesthetic. Failure to maintain welding equipment and welding parameters can lead to damage to both electrode and zipper.
TIZIP® would be happy to provide you with a suitable welding electrode for the incorporation of our TIZIP® zippers into your product.
Gluing
If you select a gluing procedure for the incorporation of our TIZIP® zippers, we request that you make sure to avoid getting any residual glue on the zipper teeth and sealing lips. Do not attempt to remove any such residue with abrasives or solvents. Moreover, please also refrain from roughening the zipper.
Sewing
When incorporating our zippers, make sure that all of the seams are outfitted with sealing tape. Otherwise, it will not be possible to guarantee the specified TIZIP® sealing strength.
Minimum Slit Width
Make sure to maintain a minimum slit width no matter what method of incorporation you select. The slider needs a certain degree of play in order to ensure proper TIZIP® function.
