COMPATIBILITY
Please note that PVC is not chemically compatible for direct welding with the hydrolysis-protected zipper. Therefore, PVC must be glued to the hydrolysis-protected zipper material or, alternatively, used with an intermediate TPU layer.

Extensive analysis has revealed that the aging of TPU coatings – characterized by swelling, cracking or delamination – is primarily caused by hydrolytic degradation due to environmental factors such as moisture, temperature fluctuations and microbial exposure. While careful handling can help to reduce these effects, TIZIP has now developed an optimized TPU formula in combination with an advanced production process that effectively prevents the typical aging-related issues of TPU-coated zippers, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.

STANDARD ./. NON-STANDARD ZIPPERS
On May-01 2024, the new “hydrolysis protection feature” has been launched to all MasterSeal #10 versions that are included in the standard zipper program.
For MasterSeal #10 zippers not included in the standard program and for SuperSeal zippers, the “hydrolysis protection” can be selected as an option.
Shortly, TIZIP will also launch the “hydrolysis protection feature” as an option for the MasterSeal #6 and WaterSeal zipper.
