TIZIP® zippers are tested for quality and water and air tightness. The tests are done randomly based on specific testing procedures.
- Adjusting of the zipper between water- & air pressure chamber (width: 30 mm; length: 240 mm)
- Filling of upper chamber with distilled water (height of water level above zipper: 15 mm)
- Applying of air pressure ΔP (air) based on the specific guaranteed zipper type performance
- Duration of pressure applying period: 15 seconds
SEALING LEVEL
The level of air & water tightness not only depend on the zipper type (MasterSeal, SuperSeal, WaterSeal, RingSeal) and but also on the zipper configuration.
